I have info that Johann Christian and Catharina Binkley had daughter in
1770, Cahterine Barbara...likely in Lancaster co, Penn.
The Binkleys in Lancaser (Cocalico twnshp) and in Berks Co (Heidleberg
twnship) were related. The name was originally Binggeli and was from
Canton of Bern in Switzerland. Hands Michael Binggeli was in Cocalico
twnshp...with land and relatives along the Berks/Lancaster Co lines.
...Were immigrant brothers ...of circa 1735/6 who split btwn Canada and
US.....From my notes there was a Christen Binggeli of Bern...Not sure if
he immigrated and if so to where but ...Apparently there was a Henrick
and wife Anna Maria Ruth who had 10 or more children , oldest son being
a Henry, born1765. These notes are not the clearest but prehaps gives
you clues.
