Vic, I have just returned from Modesto CA. I lived there for 10 years, and
have family there. They have a small Genealogy Dept. in the local Library.
You may try writing there and see if they could help you. Since one of
the major roads is named DALE Rd. The Dale family must have been
prominent. A very large portion of the population of Modesto is "German
Baptist".
