This is where I live! My husband's is also descended from all the these
families you mentioned and I can probably give you all you need since we
have been "addicted" to genealogy for over 30 years and any information you
need on this area.

I also have the book by Earl Kaylor "Out of the Wilderness" and this will
answer all your questions about the churches in this area.

The Claar churches (Upper and Lower) are still in existance and we know the
one preacher if there is something specific you need. Have relatives who
belong to Woodbury. And the list could go on. Everyone in this area is
related so I am sure I can give you plenty of "cousins".

Right now we are in the midst of maybe the bigggest snowstorm we have had
this winter. Roads closed all over and they are saying if you really have
to travel take a "winter survivial bag" with you! White-outs, icy roads
all over, power-outages, etc.
