Are you aware that there is a Huber Mennonite Church just south of New
Carlisle, Ohio in Montgomery County. It is named after the owner of the
land (and I presume a member of the church). I believe it was started in
1858 with members coming from the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania area. It is
still in existance complete with old cemetery with Huber family members
buried in the lot with an auto dealership next door. I have ancestors Wm
and Eva Shafer who are buried there. I am not sure there is a connection
with your Abraham and John Huber, but it is too close (3-4 miles) to not
have a strong possibility. I have more (limited) information if you are
interested. Contact me privately.
