Happy Mothers Day to all the Moms,
Has anyone ever heard that MOSIER-MOSSER was interchangeable with MAJOR?
I have just heard that in Charles City Co, VA there was a family that
went by both names. Although I have heard many variations this is the
first time that I have heard this one. This is from a very early time
sometime in the 1600's. Since I have never been able to tie my Nicholas
MOSSER-MOSIER to his parents in PA, or NC I wondered if this is a
possibility. Thanks for any help you might have.
My Nicholas was born 1751-53 and died around 1826 and it is said he died
in MD at least that is where his property was that was divided among his
heirs at that time.
Thanks, Ann
Ann Lock
