Although a number of miles away from Portland, Oregon, I discovered a
set of the Brethren Encyclopedia at The Whitman College Library in Walla
Walla, Washington. I believe it's a lot closer to me than any of the
libraries of the Brethren Colleges in California.

So, what I am saying is, check with your local public library and see if
they can locate a copy that might be nearer you, don't think that only
Church of the Brethren Libraries are the only place that this reference
book would be located, you might find one a lot closer to you than you
think.
