According to a genealogist friend of mine, who does a whole lot of research
and sends it to me for my newsletter, Phoebe Anne "Oakley" was born to Jacob
MOSES and Susan WISE in 1860, Drake, OH. Susan WISE was born 1832 to Jacob
WISE and Emily CLAPPER. Jacob WISE was the son of John WISE, Jr. who was
born in Huntingdon Co. PA in 1776 and Elizabeth PUTERBAUGH b 1776. John
WISE, Sr. and Mary CRIPE were his parents. John Sr's father was Michael
WISE. This info was given to my friend by Joseph F. Wise of Phoenix, AZ and
was published in the June '99 Words to the Wise.
