My name is Wiecher Ponne. I live in the Netherlands and I am looking for ancestors of my family (Ponne). The oldest Ponne I found was Gerrit Pieters (Ponne) who was a bargeman and lived in Lippenhuizen (Friesland, The Netherlands) ca 1720-1794. His children were members of the baptistchurch. If he himself was a member I don't know.
I found on internet at Donna Speer Ristenbatt Genealogy list of German Pioneers, passengers imported in the ship Allen from Rotterdam to Pennsylvania, James Craigh master, September 11th, 1729. The first name on the list 10 A is Alixander Mack and the eigth name Andrus Ponne. At the list female passengers I found Joanna Margaret Ponne. You understand that I was very interested. On list 10 B (at the Courthouse of Philadelphia on 15th September the names were spelt differently, p.e. Allexander Mack, but also Andres Boni. This Andres Boni of list B is also the same as Andrus Ponne of list A.
The name Andrew Boni I found on page 11 of your "European Origin Church of the Brethren" where are mentioned the five men and three women iaugurate their group of eight persons and baptized themselves in 1708 in the Eder river at Schwarzenau (Germany). I think that this Andrew Boni is the same as Andres Boni and Andrus Ponne and one of my ancestors. Before tey went to America they stayed nine years in Surhuisterveen (Friesland, The Netherlands). Surhuisterveen is not far away of Lippenhuizen where Gerrit Piters lived! There must be any connection.

Can you tell me more about this Andrew Boni/Andres Boni/Andrus Ponne and Joanna Margaret Ponne? Had they children ? Are there any ascendants of these persons ? All information is welcome. PLease help me.
