I am interested in know where your Troxel families came from and when.
I have Truxel, Truxell, Trucsel, Trusell -- all the same family in Botetourt
Co., VA, 1840-1850, with John Truxell, 1793-1850/51 perhaps from Lynchburg,
VA. He married my grgrandather's sister Susanna Moomaw -- the children were
ca 10-20 years old when he died. She disappears -- or perhaps remarries!
Susanna's family were Dunkards; I don't know about John.
The children's first names were Jackson, James, Maria, Amanda, John D.,
Virginia, Joseph.
There is also an AJ Truxell in Campbell Co VA in the 1870 census.

Any chance of a tie-in?
Pat Hickin
