Nacy S. Goodman from GOSPEL MESSENGER February 16, 1935

born Oct. ll, 1866 in Missouri, died at his home in Empire Ca Jan 17, 1935.
He had lived at Empire the past twenty-one years. He was formerly a member
of the Prairie View congregation, Mo. He was a deacon and always active in
church work. His first wife, Ida Lehman ( daughter of Peter and Elizabeth)
preceded him in death on July 17, 1930. He is survived by his wife, Fanny,
two sons and their families and one daughter. -- Mae Kappler, Modesto,
Calif.


Maria Lehman born Feb. l6, 1851, near Johnstown, Pa., died Jan. 28, 1935,
She was the eldest daughter of Peter C and Elizabeth Lehman and the second
in a family of ten children. She is survived by one brother and one
sister. She moved with her parents to Missouri when she was seventeen
years old. She united with the Church of the Brethren at the age of
twenty-two and remained true to her vows. She was an active member of the
Empire Ladies'Aid Society. She married Abraham Witmer Leib on March 10,
1875. To this union eight children were born, five of whom survive. Her
husband died fifteen years ago. Funeral services at the Empire church by
her pastor. Eld. M. S. Frantz. Mae Kappler, Modesto, Calif.

Leib, Caroline, daughter of Peter and Elizabeth Lehman, born in Cambria Co,
Pa. Sept 18, 1861, died in her home at Glensted, Mo. Aug. 10, 1921. In
1885 she married Jos. M. Leib. There were ten children seven of whom
survive. At an early age she became a member of the Church of the Brethren
and remained faithful to the end. Services by D. L. Mohler. Interment in
the Prairie View cemetery. Alice L. Mohler, Versailles, Mo.

(Elizabeth Lehman, daughter of Peter C. and Elizabeth m. Solomon Hedrick
and died in DC in 1923)
