My relationship to this is through the two Naff Borthers, Jacob and
Sebastion. They lived in Lancaster Co. PA until 1772 when they moved to
Frederick Co. MD. In 1782 at least Jacob moved to what is now Franklin Co.
VA with Sebastion coming sometime. Jacob married Katherine Flora (believed
daughter of Joseph), and Sebastian married Mary Saylor (daughter of Daniel).

Jacob died in Franklin Co. VA and Sebastian in ??, Sebastian's children
moved on to Preble Co., Oh and Cass Co., Ind.
Jacob's children stayed in Franklin Co., Moved on to Preble Co, OH and
Greene Co. Tenn. (of course I do not have were all of the children went so
there are other possiblities to add.)

I can not find the email but someone mentioned Heinrich Neff as the primary
father of those in Preble Co., Oh. I have no discussion with that statement
other than Jacob and Sebastian are not related to him as far as any records
that I have seen show.

>From my understanding Naff (and variations) are swiss for Nephew. Or there
are many unrelated families just like Smith.

FYI Jacob and Katherine are my ancestors.
