Died near Logan, Hocking county, O. July 4, Lucinda Sanderson, consort of
Benjamin Sanderson, daughter of George and Frances Bright, aged 41 years,
leaving a sorrowing husband and 9 children, the youngest 6 mos old, to
deplore their loss of a dutiful wife and Kind, affectionate mother
agreeable neighbor and pious Christian. Her walk in life was sedate and
reserved; she was a consistent member of the United Brethren in Christ
church for 15 years. Her relative are in mourning for their irreparable
loss. She was buried on the 6th -- She bore her disease (typhoid) with
wonderful fortitude and resignation to the will of God, and died in the
hope of a glorious immortality, like old Simeon with Christ in her arms.
Brother Joseph Hendricks delivered an appropriate discourse to a very large
concourse of people at the house. Funeral preached by Rev. N. Lohr and J.
Henrick on the words of Rev 14:13 Lucinda's mother is a sister to Rev.
Benjamin and Joseph Bowman on Linville Creek Rockingham Co, Va.
