Notes
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
----
reported death as 7 May 1841 in Montgomery Co Ohio (NOT CONFIRMED)

It was a German custom to name children for the grandparents of both sides
of the family.

Name also listed as Deardoff but used the original spelling of Dierdorff

Christened: Abt 1784 Place: , Bedford, VA
Note Bedford County Court House list marriage bond as Dec 31, 1804
according to Marriage Index Husbands-1754-1854-Wife's;Dec. 31, 1804;
Adam Kinzor & Christina Deardorff; Henry Deardorff, Surety; Married by
James Turner, Jan. 3, 1805.

From Don Hart who first sent me a letter stating: "In the Dierdorff
Notebooks by Ira Brown (deceased) and revised by Rodney Trimmer, he does
list Christena, daughter of Henry and Susanna Deardorff as having had two
husbands. The first being a Kinzer and the second being a Eubank. It
also
shows that they moved to Ohio from Virginia. Christena's brother Abraham
who
married Nancy Hodges was in Logan County, Ohio near Big Springs and is
buried at the Equality cemetery. I have the only copy of the notebooks
outside of the Historical Society of York Pennsylvania in York, PA" and
later sent me a photocopy of the page.

Jim, I am a descendent of Adam & Christina Deardorff-Kinzer. Christina
was born Jan 1783 in Bedford Co. and died 01 Jan 1844 in Fairfield Twp.
Highland Co. Oh. She is buried in the Fairfield Quaker Cemetery in
Faifield Twp. Adam Kinzer was born 30 Jan 1778 in Pa. and died 14 Aug
1866 in Highland Co. While there is no tombstone inscription, I feel
sure he is also buried in the Fairfield Quaker Cemetery. Their daughter
Rebecca Deardorff Kinzer-Guthrie is my gr gr grandmother. She married
Aaron Antrim Guthrie in Highland Co. Oh. They removed from Adams Co. OH.
with several of their adult children to Zearing, Story Co. Ia., where
they both are buried.

Adam and Christina removed from Bedford Co. along with two of his
brothers and their families. They are enumerated in the 1820 Highland
Co. census. Rebecca Deardorff who is most likely Susannah Deardorff's
sister (and the aunt of Christina) died in Highland Co. 07-09-1862 aged
89y5m6d. She is buried in the Campbellite Cemetery in Paint Twp.
Highland Co. Oh.

My cousin is attempting to verify records of Rebecca Deardorff Kinzer's
birth in order to qualify our Deardorff line for the DAR. Unfortunately
the old family bible does not list her parent's names.

in Pa.; died Aug 14 1866; married Christina Deardoff,
who was born January, 1783 in Pa.; died April 1, 1844.
Both were devout members of the German Baptist or
Dunkard Church. Children: Adam Kinzer, Henry Kinzer,
Charlotte Kinzer, Mary Kinzer, Susan Kinzer, Rebecca
Deardoff Kinzer, b. April 22 1824, in Highland Co.
Oh.; died Aug 21 1889 in Zearing, Ia.; "m" Aaron
