Harl, finding a baby in the cabbage patch was an alternative story to having
babies brought by the stork. Little kids would be told that Mama had been
out in the cabbage patch and look what she found--just grew there by magic.
For some reason it was always amongst the cabbages, not the sweet corn or
radishes.
