Be very aware that the early Brethren were in Kentucky. I have the
beginnings of a study on them in the 2 papers in Brethren Frontiers
"Frontier Life" (what churches and some of the known members) and "Brethren
Pietism" (what happened to them). We have major Brethren Families in
Kentucky -from the earliest days.
Two of the early Centers -were just east and northeast of Twigg Co KY. If
you find your families going through Kentucky -especially before and after
1800 -I would be very glad to receive such notification.

The conflict of c1820 between these "Frontier Brethren" and the "Eastern
Elders" ended (as Abraham Cassel points out) with half or more of the
church being rejected by the Eastern Annual Meeting.
