I'm sorry, I had to laugh, all apologies to the Brethren, of which I
am one. But the term is Dunkers, or as I have heard it used
frequently, Dunkards, the term derived from our method of immersion
baptism.

Hello List. I am searching for my great grandparents and since I have
joined this list I am sure I am in the right Place. My gr gr mother
was Sarah Elizabeth Baul Price married to James Alexander Price
November 19, 1876. My mother told me they were Drunkards I have never
heard this term used before and had no idea what she was talking
about. Sarah wore a lace head piece which I believe now is a religious
symble. Sarah s parents were Mary Marker and Henry Baul. Sarah was
born in Il. March 19, 1855 Beardstown. James was born in New
Enterprise Pa February 23, 1852. After a short time they moved to
Exeter Nebraska sett;ed om a sod house . any help you might be able to
give me is truly appreciated.
