arrived in Lebanon Co. PA by 1742, and Philip Wolf and his wife, name
believed to be Margaret, who settled in Bethel, Lebanon Co., by 1738. Among
Philip Wolf's presumed sons, one son's descendants are well researched,
those of Peter Wolf, b. abt 1740 in Bethel.

records), but it seems curious to me that their burial sites and homes were
or have been associated with United Brethren or other Brethren churches.
20th century descendants of both these couples have been identified as
Dunkard Brethren. Yet the assumption clings that both families, said to be
Swiss by national origin, were Mennonite.

> Also curious: the Wolfs go Lutheran in the generation of Ephraim Wolf, b.
1858 in Lebanon Co., PA.
