I forwarded to a friend interested in Quantrill, who suggested I ask Rose
Mary Lankford. Rose Mary suggested the following two knowledgeable people,
one of whom has an address given:
"I am Rose Mary Lankford, and have researched Quantrill and his men. I am a
member of the Quantrill Society,
and a couple years ago, we met in Lawrence. There were several speakers
there. Among them was, Katie Armitage. She was very knowledgeable
about the people in Lawrence who were killed, etc. I assume she lives in
Lawrence. Steven Jansen, Ph.D., director of the Watkins Community Museum of
History may know how to locate her. He was also a speaker there. His
address is: Douglas County Historical Society, 1047 Mass. St., Lawrence, Ks "
Good luck with these leads.
