My family are Disciples of Christ but when I was a
child we lived in Wisconsin where there are only two
churches of this denomination so we went to the
Methodist church in town. When it was time for me to
be baptized, the Methodist minister offered to
"borrow" a church with an immersion pool and baptize
me himself...he said that it was acceptable to the
Methodists. However, we took a trip "home" and I was
baptized in the Disciples of Christ church that all of
my family belongs to.
