Grace, I am sorry I do not have any info on the deacon Daniel Shock from S. Dakota. Perhaps others will have some info.

He may surface in another church or state as I work with this material. Many of these folks moved from one community to another several times in their lifetime.

Do you have any info you can share? I would be interested in knowing more about this little known group of Brethren in central S. Dakota. The minister, W. G. Cook, moved to Oklahoma eventually. The Alstott and M. E. Stair families came to Missouri near Polo in Caldwell County.

These membership letters are very important to church and family researchers for the imformation they contain about people and churches. I am very grateful when clerks have saved these letters of membership over the years with their church records.
