This is almost surely a United Brethren congregation.
Try http://www.cjnetworks.com/kaylaw/otterbein/pwo_bio.html
The United Brethren in Christ Church which Otterbein founded has split.
The larger part is now part of the United Methodist Church .. The
smaller part is still named the United Brethren in Christ Church with
history at http://www.ub.org/about/history.htm

Subject: [BRE] Otterbein

Near where I live in Southern Illinois is a old church & cemetery. It is
called Otterbein Church. ( I am not a native
here so know little of the history) Older neighbors say it was
a German Church and the Jeffords Family gave the land for
Church & Cemetery. Could someone tell me if this is a
Brethren Church and maybe some history? It is still well
taken care of by the Jeffords but they do not know what
denomination and say no records were kept. Oldest marker
has date of 1844 written 18404. Retha
