My book on the Four Mile Church (re: "the Virginia Colony") is on-line at
www.union-county.lib.in.us/USGenwebpage1.htm
(thats: webpage one)

The Union County (IN) Library has the whole book on-line. The last half of
the book is genealogy of the various families known to be in the Church.
Most
of these families came from Franklin Co VA in 1806-1808. Moss (including
some on Gordon) is the 4th family covered.

The Children of Elder Jacob Miller came to the Four Mile about the time
Elder
Jacob moved to the Dayton Ohio area. Elder William Moss married Elizabeth
Lybrook (granddaughter of Elder Jacob Miller), and the whole family came out
with them (his father: Edmund Moss/2nd wife Elizabeth Boyer and all the
siblings.
Madelaine is a Wm Moss descendent.)

The Upper Four Mile Church is about 3/4ths mile from the Ohio State Line in
Indiana, being just south of the Boston Pike (now IN 227) on 9 Mile Road
(Lower Four Mile Church -and the rest of Elder Jacob Miller's children -was
at the south end of 9 Mile Road -just north of College Corner OH). Edmund
Moss lived about 1 mile south of the Upper Four Mile Church on the west side
of 9 Mile Road. William Moss had the 160 acres on which the church sits,
the
land just east of the 9 mile road extending north including both sides of
the
Boston Pike. A drawing of Wm's cabin is pictured in introduction of
Winger's
History of the Church of the Brethren in Indiana

I've traced these families across Indiana and into Iowa.
