Morning List,
I have a strange request for my fellow list members.
Do you have any old issues of any of the various newspapers laying around
that you could donate for a good cause? I'm talking about the Gospel
Messenger, the Vindicator, etc., etc., and especially any copies of the Brethren
Family Almanac.
Gale was kind enough to loan me two issues of the Gospel Messenger of
which I have scanned both issues, Aug. 12, 1884 and May May 28, 1895, and which
are now turned into sets of PDF files.
The "playing around" has gotten me so interested in this that I would
like to do it with some other issues. So if you do not mind sharing your older
issues please let me know off list.
I am finding that in some cases there is more information held within the
newspapers, especially the Brethren Family Almanac, that was never in any of
the history books. I have found some things in the Almanac that were not
recorded for posterity's sake in the 1921 Southern District of Ohio book. Vary
