In regards to whether the Brethren actively participated in the
American Revolution, I have long held the belief that one could
still be a pacifist and serve in the American Revolution. One's
active involvement depended on circumstances ... when push
came to sholve, when one's life or the lifes of one's loved ones
was at stake, then one follow his consciece and tolk whatever
action was needed.
