I'm related to Michael Thomas of Fayette County, PA who was a German Baptist
deacon, and has a War of 1812 memorial marker on his grave. His stone is
also is covered in poison ivy, while his wife's marker has none......I
wonder if God is trying to make a statement about this possible bogus claim!

I descend from David Miller, through his son Jacob. One of the things I've
always found a little odd is that much of the research that I have viewed
indicates that Jacob was a soldier in the War of 1812. I find this very
unusual since his father was a non-associator and Jacob come from a German
Baptist family.
