No one suggests a Rebecca Fouts marriage for a Christian Shearer. I can't figure out where you are coming from unless you misconstrue the "He" in the final sentence of my original post as standing for Christian Shearer Sr. The "He" in that final sentence refers to the subject "Eli Shearer" of the previous sentence. He, Eli Shearer, is described in that previous sentence as the grandson of Christian Shearer Sr. I suppose the problem has to do with my use of language. Please edit my original post by substituting "Eli Shearer" for "He" and that should clear up the problem.

Everyone (me included) argues for a Rebecca (nee Kinsey) Fouts for Eli Shearer, just as you have it in your messages below.

No, Eli is not another given name for Christian Sr. Eli Shearer was the grandson of Christian Shearer Sr. You have the generations confused. Refer back to my first message tonight.

Gale Honeyman had previously told me that Rebecca married Eli Shearer (2) and Henry Jones (3). Is Eli another given name for Christian Shearer Sr?
