Thanks Brad, as I said, I really don't think that the grey cells are working
today.
Can I also ask another probably blindingly obvious question?
If said child is not on FreeBMD, is there any profit in contacting the
office of the area in which she is said to be born?

Since it's age reached that's recorded, it can only be referring to
their last birthday.
