I'm amazed there are such a few BRYANTSs posted so far under the B's given
the commonality of the name in Bristol - it might be some time before the
list gets to the Cs ....

(just realised I am interested in the BEES {!!!} family of the Dings as
well )

My great great grandfather was a Thomas BRYANT , an engine driver at the
flour mills living in St George in 1841 and moving for a few years to South
Brent. He married a Susannah EDDOLLS -(this line goes back several more
generations.) I dont know who Thomas's parents were but suspect a James &
Ann who had family christened at St George. Any takers?

The BEES family - my great grandaunt Mary Hannah ROACH married Matthew BEES
in 1884 living in Bread Street, St P&J. He was a glassblower and drowned
in the Cut in 1893

another blank at a James BULLOCK, a sugarhouse labourer baptised 1817 at St
P& J. He married a Hannah FACEY after having had four children together and
then had four more !

Finally my brick wall - my great great grandfather was born in the Dings
in 1840 the son of George ROACH and Elizabeth BAKER. They were married in
St Mary Redcliffe in 1827 - he was a miller by trade and almost certainly
born in the Thornbury/Tytherington area although I still haven't found his
baptism yet - but where did she come from ?
