I can just remind folk about the three list no-nos please?

No HTML: this is a Rootsweb rule which applies to all lists.

<quote>
When posting to a RootsWeb mailing list, your message should be sent
as "plain text." You should not send messages as HTML or RTF (rich
text format) to a mailing list. In most instances you can control the
format by adjusting the settings in your mail program.

No posting or requesting information about living people or requesting
information that may identify living people. This is a Rootsweb rule,
so please keep requests for information pre-1900.

<quote>
Don't include identifiable information about living people without
their direct consent, or, in the case of minors, the consent of their
parent or guardian. This includes (but is not limited to) a person's
full name, location or contact information.

No crossposting: it makes some admins cross :)) For those who don't
know what crossposting is: it's sending one mail with more than one
list address or with several private addresses or a mixture of both.
Not everyone is on the same lists.
