I think the is an element of (perhaps exaggerated) truth in the story
Susan posted but it is defintely worth thinking about all the hours of
work that's gone into our research, as well as the expenses, and to
consider how best to preserve it for future generations.

All my research is to go to The Society of Genealogists with a copy to
the LDS.

Like many other researchers, my family crossed into a number of
different counties from Cornwall to Scotland, with many, like me,
living on the borders of three counties. To give just the relevant
part to the various different record offices, would leave my research
disjointed and difficult for anyone else to follow. An organisation
such as SoG or the LDS would enable all my research to stay together.

My OPC work will, obviously, go to Somerset Record Office.

I'm fortunate that I have a dau who is also interested, only up to a
point right now but the seeds have been sown and I'm hopeful that in
due course she will take up wherever I leave off.
