Yes, everything from the old Somerset Record Office, the local studies
library and 19 other repositories around the county will be held at
the Heritage Centre.

No, there's still a lot of stuff still there: all the fiche, many of
the reference books, boxes and boxes of assorted items, fiche and film
readers to say nothing of a lot of original documents as well.

Plus they are still dealing with phone and mail enquiries and keeping
the educational talks going.

The actual archive building will be sold off and I imagine the site
will be redeveloped especially as it's in a residential area. There's
also a house they have which they used for "in-house" courses which
will be sold too.
