During the late forties early fifties I got 3 pence a week pocket money usually in the form of a threepenny Joey. I used to get mum to take me to Woolworth's and buy a tiny doll or a bag of marbles, I could buy a ball of multicoloured knitting wool and a small pair of plastic knitting needles. I always yearned for a miniature plastic pram to put the little dolls in but they cost 1/6 so I never did get one when I was young.
I now have two. I managed to find them at a car boot sale. They have pride of place........Diane
