Hi Kathryn...

I have a couple of surnames and cannot find any births.

Mark FREEMAN, born about 1880 eloped and married Rachel Jessie SCHNITZER
born about 1881/2. They married in Westminster Registry Office 23/10/1897
and again in the Synagogue (I only presume it was Great Synagogue, London)
on 21/11/1897. I have both certificates but these tell me nothing as Mark
said his father was James decd., and his army and death papers say it was
Alfred. His mother was Hannah who married a Jacob Jacobs before Mark and
Rachel married, and came to Australia about 1906.

They had two boys - Morris Isaac Freeman born June 1898 and Abraham (my
father) born 24/1/1900 - both born in London. I only have my father's birth
certificate.

Rachel's father was said to be Simon.

Both Rachel and Hannah appear to have been born in Poland, but because of
lies to names and dates, it is very difficult to find anything.

I am hoping you have these names in your book.

I look forward to hearing from you.
