Dear List - The following is a somewhat expanded version of query previously
sent regarding the surname Isaacs - Looking for information on family and
ancestry of the brothers, Ezekiel Isaacs and Moses Isaacs of Jamaica, West
Indies, and London, England. Moses is known to have married, Maria, believe
her surname was Cohen, with known daughters, Esther and Dinah Rachel, who
married Is. Henriques Melhado. Moses died, 1845, Jamaica. Will of Moses
Isaacs, dated 1822, proved 1845, refers to Executors Hymen Cohen, Jr., wife
Maria Isaacs, Hymen Cohen, London, Merchant and Alexander Cohen, Kingston,
Merchant. Any expansion or additional information appreciated. Thank you -
