I urge all readers to go to Federation of Family History Societies site
www.ffhs.org.uk where the response to the consultation paper is given
together with essential links. Whilst the consultation date is 24 October,
there is still time to respond especially to the GRO proposal that there
should information restrictions, except to close family, when a modern BMD
certificate is requested. Modern largely meaning less than 100 years old.
