First off Im sorry for the length but often people like more info to work
with so I'm throwing in what's useful in the hunt (just in case, you never
know). Thanks in advance.

If any of the B-J listers have access to the 1841 census and some free time
and would like to have a go at finding my ancestor, Lewis Lipman, I would be
really grateful. In return I can offer look-ups for Norwegian Records now
that my studies are finished and I have free time to focus on my trees once
again. And also to let people know that Scandianvian and Baltic BDM records
are all online. I'm sure many of you may know that but many may not.

With Lewis Lipman he sailed to Australia the following year 1842 and from
the boat's records I have the following information. What I have never been
able to find so far is his London birth records so any help would be
appreciated. And if anyone knows where I need to be looking for such
records. I am also wanting to find his mother (Rachel Lipman nee Joseph)'s
death records. She may have died at his birth or within a few years of 1823.
Any help or clues gratefully welcomed.

Assuming he was born in 1823, where's a good place to look for birth records
(if any exist)?? Other's wisdom/experience is much appreciated in these
things so don't hold back if you feel you might have even the smallest
offering. It may just be the missing piece in the jigsaw that's been 20
years in the making.

Ship's record
Lewis Lipman (aka Lipman Lipman) would have been Assisted Immigrant to
Sydney on the "William Turner"
Occupation Carpenter,/has been a teacher (based on his activities in Sydney
I'd say he taught at the Jewish Free School - he taught Hebrew at the Jewish
School/Synagogue in Sydney)
could read and write

I've not to date found any birth records for Lewis. Where's a good place to
start? He also had a sister Martha.

Here's Lewis' father's info which may be helpful too. Its the census return
for 1851:

Thanks in advance,
