Miriam, it may not be an aberration. There is always the possibility that
the mother's maiden name was WOLFERS and that she married a relative with
the same surname.
Because the births were registered within the last 50 years, you cannot
order a certificate online from the GRO without providing in advance most of
the information that is on the certificate! So unless you have a means of
finding out that information from someone else, I believe your only option
is to visit the relevant RO to view the register, or ask someone else to do
so on your behalf.
