...Bertha SILVERMAN aged 64 in 1911
prove/disprove that she was the sister of A E GORDON

JewishGen's Riga, Latvia marriage index lists two Bertha Gordons:

SILBERMANN, Solomon married GORDON, Bertha in 1880

and
MULNER, Jacob married GORDON, Bertha in 1895

Courland Voters List, 1907, lists a Zalman Silberman or Zilberman.
Father Chaim, in the town o Ilukste. Entry number 2-154 [2 meant less
than substantial landowner or business owner], Eligibility 2 [carried
on business]. There were 199 eligible Jewish male voters that year in
Ilukste.

From the Tax Administration list, it looks like the oldest Salman's
father was Mendel, and Salman was born in ~Mar. 1862, registered in
Riga.
Then one or more Salman Silbermanns had the following sons: Hirsch,
Sep. 1891, Israil Josiph, Nov, 1893, Haja Mirjam, 1896, Dovid, Jun.
1903, Feiga Selda, 1905.

There were three other, younger Salman Silbermanns listed; one Salman
was son of Jankel, b. Dec. 1881. The other Solomons were son of
Jankel, b. May 1890, and son of Gesel, b. Oct. 1902.

All of these were too young for Bertha, who may have been b. in ~1847
if she was 64 in 1911.

How about this one?
Silbermann, Salman Peisch, son of Awsey, a Tailor, applied for a
Passport/Travel Document in 1890. His address was Vidzi, Novo-
Alexandrovsk d., Kovno p.
Tailor at Moskovskaya 100, Riga. Fond/List 51/1, Reference 1890-435.
