Ken,
Not sure if such early years are covered but there might be Juvenile Inspection Records at the NAC in Ottawa for their placements. Otherwise Barnardo's should have kept records of their movements while in their care [and even afterwards]. If not already done so, ask them for these. They are now allowed to copy the actual records rather than give summaries as in previous years.
