Dear George -
Is it possible that thesechildren were orphaned during the voyage over or
upon arrival in Canada? My mother's grandmother was an Irish child (8) (RC)who
along with her two younger siblings was orphaned on the voyage - both parents
dying of typhoid (?) in 1866. The children were all placed in different
orphanages in Montreal and never saw each other again.
