Are you all familiar with two internet query services which
serve the Brobst and Probst families, as well as the
Kistlers, Kuntzs, Follweilers, and others?
One is managed by Rootsweb, the other by GenForum.
For the Rootsweb pages, just go to a website address such
as:
http://resources.rootsweb.com/~clusters/surnames/k/i/KISTLER/
For other names, make the change at the end, so:
/b/r/BROBST/ or /k/u/KUNTZ
Go to the Query icon, about 3/4 the way down the page, click
on it, and any queries which came in during the past month
show up. For earlier ones, go to the blue bar, change the
reading from "month" to "six months", click on Refresh, and
voila, you have the earlier queries also.
For the GenForum series, type in a web address such as:
http://genforum.familytreemaker.com/stump/
For other families, just change the last name. The queries
pop up automatically.
The query pages are a great way to exchange info on families
other than just your own.
See you in Iowa.
