Hello List,

Is this list still active? Well, if it is, I have a question for the group. I was re-reading Benjamin Brown's Civil War Pension file today and ran across the most interesting thing. In Ben's affidavit, Ben is explaining why it has taken him so long to file for a pension and he goes on to say that his original paperwork was given to "his son-in-law, John Isom" to take to an attorney in Blandinsville in Hancock County.

Is anyone else on the list aware of Ben having a son-in-law named John Isom? Do you think he could have married Rachel after Thomas Boone died?

If anyone has any insight on this I would love to hear from you. Thank you.. Karyn
