Hello Browns,

I am looking for a BROWN from Canada who is particiating in the BROWN DNA study. My brother has submitted his DNA (a saliva swab from mouth), the results are in, but we have no BROWN match, yet.

I've been told the BROWNs came from England to states of Maine & Vermont, possibly N.Y., would not fight in Am.Rev.War and left for Canada. My ancestor Henry Brown was b. Nova Scotia 1829. In 1831-2, the family moved to Harwich, Ont., and from there to Wilkesport, Lambton Co., Ont. From there to Dresden, Ont. Some went to British Columbia to be with BLACKLOCKs there, others to Lorain, Ohio, where Henry's wife, Lucy Ann Sales, died.

My great grandparents were George Washington Brown who married Mary Jane Blacklock.

Barbara
b. Chatham, Ont.; now in Michigan
