Following on from Pete Brown, I would like to declare my interest.
I live in Princes Risborough, Bucks.
For the last two years I have been undertaking my wife's family history. (Brown)
Although the last few generations have mostly resided in Bucks, (Wendover, The Lee, The Hampdens, Gt Missenden etc) some came from Twyford and prior to that from Hellidon, Northants. I have traced them back to 1703 in Hellidon.
William Brown m. Anne Marriot Feb 24 1703.
I believe that William was the son of John Browne & Anne Grimate of Hellidon, b.abt. 1675, but cannot prove it.
Like Pete, I am now stuck. I am unable to visit the Northants Record Centre for the foreseeable future owing to a full time family commitment.

On a recent visit to the PRO at Kew I came across the following which may possibly be of interest to someone-
Thomas Brown appears in a Manor survey (Raunds) March 1649. PRO ref E317/Northants/44
