Subject: [Brown-NY] Richard Brown, NYC 1840 - 1880+

I'm looking for information on or descendants of Richard BROWN. Richard was born around 1830, probably in Northern Ireland, and emigrated to New York around 1840 with his parents. I don't know his father's name, but his mother was Sarah (maiden name unknown). Sarah was born around 1794; she and both of her parents were born in Ireland.
Richard lived in NYC most of his life, around 23rd and 6th Avenue, and he ran a trucking business. He was married twice. I don't know the name of his first wife, but they had two sons: William BROWN, b 1858 in New York; and Lincoln BROWN, b 1865 in New York.
Richard's second wife was Rachel (possibly LINDSAY). Rachel and her parents were from Ireland as well. They had two more children: Richard Lindsey BROWN b 1881 or 1871 (I have conflicting information) and my husband's ancestor, Florence May BROWN (b 1873 in New York, New York; Florence married John DeBow VREELAND some time after June of 1900 and died on December 7, 1960).
