Looking for any info on Wm Brown b 1733 U.S.A. possibly married to Jo(h)anna Chase. They had children David b 1763 Dorcas b 1766 and Wm b 1769 in Dutchess County New York. In about 1770 Wm & Jo(h)anna moved their family to Albany where Wm served with Lewis Van Woert in the 16th regiment. From there they moved to Ontario Canada in about 1780.Any info, particularly about Jo(h)anna, would be sooooooooooo welcome. Jo(h)anna was a widow when she married Wm and already had a daughter Susannah (Lusanna) b 1756. Would love to know who the father of Susannah was and Jo(h)anna's maiden name. I am also stuck with with who Wm.'s father was-that is the 1733 Wm. It has been suggested by my Aunt who has done research the hard way (no computer in those days!) that his father was James. Sound familiar to anyone?
