Candy, I sure wish I could say yes; however, my Brown's to the best of
my knowledge, came to Vermont, some on to Michigan, others to Illinois
and New York, then back to Lemont, Illinois. Would really like to know
where my Brown's originated. In other words, England, Scotland,
Germany???
I'm glad you're checking ' cause you never know, there just might have
been a connection. Don't give up....Betty Reeves

I happened to catch your reference to Browns in NY and IL in your reply
to
another post, and just have to ask about them. I have Irish Catholic
Browns who came by way of Canada to Clinton Co., NY and then to
Sandusky,
OH and at least 1 son on to IL by 1860 - David. The parents were David &
Bridget Brown, with children born in Ireland, Quebec and NY. The came
over
in the 1820s, and were in Sandusky in 1852, with son David going on to
Rockford, IL and at least 1 of his sons, also David, going to Chicago by
1883.
If any of this sounds familiar, please let me know. I have quite a bit
of
the early info, and have started to fill in the blanks after they
arrived
in OH.
