Hello Fellow Brown Family Members:

I hope someone out there can help me. I have already gone through the
regular roots and found no help at least so far.

I am looking for ancestors of WILLIAM H. BROWN (my g.gfather)b. August
13,1871 in Montrose, Iowa. His fathers name was John Jacob BROWN,
although in an obit I have on him it lists his father as Stephen, but
I'm sure it was John Jacob. He had a brother named GEORGE GRANT BROWN,
a sister IRENE BROWN (ARMSTRONG), and another sister Bernice.

He moved to the Kingman, Kansas area in probable the late 1870's with
his parents John Jacob. WILLIAM H. married Martha Jane Winfrey on
Sept. 30, 1896. THEIR CHILDREN WERE: CHARLES,CURTIS,FRED,TED,FRANK,
CORA ETHEL(my grandmother)b.Sept,1897,CARRIE,AND MARY OPAL b.July 5,
1907.

I would like more information on who William's parents were and where they
came from. GEORGE GRANT BROWN lived in the Buffalo, OK area for most
of his adult life. His granddaughter's name is Hazel Hayes.

I would also like to know what his mothers maiden name was.
Ireally hope someone out there has some information for me. I have not
been able to go back any farther than William H.
