By "standard" notation, all the children ought to belong to Jedediah. If they were John's children, John's name should be at the top.

But the marriage dates and the birth dates of the children suggest otherwise. In fact, the dates are very strange. She married Jedediah in 1725, then John in 1726, but Jedediah didn't die until 1731.

Something is amiss here...
