My BROWN's were from the area of Rochester, NY. Here's a clue. Let me know
if these might be who you are interested in. I have a little more
information on Samuel BROWN's lineage.

Crippen, Fuller Bios describe: "Crippens left Penfield, Monroe Co., NY in
fall of 1819. likely that the family made their trip to PA with Samuel,
Diantha Brown and their family. According to Brown Family Records, "When the
family left Genesee they drove a team of oxen hitched to a long wooden sled
on which they carreid the belongings and on which the smaller children
rode...Their route was down throught he woods, camping at night until they
came to Hamilton, NY now known as Olean. The Browns had lots of company on
this trip as there were hundreds of families gathered at Olean,
